JUDENPLATZ
PLACES. If we had to recommend a favorite one of all the nice little corners of Vienna - and I believe I am speaking for the four of us in the biking team - it would be the Judenplatz. Perfect for lunch or dinner or for having a beer. In the heart of the city but peaceful enough even in the middle of the tourist season. Beautiful, and full of meaning too.

The Rachael Whiteread sculpture must be quite a contrast to the happy bustle of the cafe.

ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed reading back over your bicycling post. What a great way to see Europe!
ReplyDeleteVienna is full of history, the dancing and music certainly, but also darker scenes took place there, too.
