SUSSEX GARDENS

LONDON. We will be staying at the Abbey Court Hotel in Sussex Gardens the first week of October, and this Post should double as a formal invitation to tea if you happen to be around and do not mind sharing it with a family of Spaniards with children. It will be the first time in London for the boys and they are already pretty excited about it  - Big Ben first on their list. I had the intention of showing them my sanctuaries of Roehampton, Richmond, Putney, South the River (read LONDON FOR JUAN) but they don't seem that interested. I would have driven them through Sussex (read PARADISE LOST) but it will have to be Sussex Gardens this time :-)

Estaremos en el Abbey Court Hotel en Sussex Gardens la primera semana de Octubre. Invitados todos a tomar el té. Será el primer viaje a Londres de los niños - y están soñando con el Big Ben. Quería enseñarles mis santuarios de Roehampton, Richmond, Putney, South the River (leer LONDON FOR JUAN) pero no parecen interesados. Les hubiera llevado por las carreteras estrechas de Sussex (leer PARADISE LOST) pero esta vez tendrá que ser Sussex Gardens :-)

  2. Hello:
A wonderful time to be in London. Early autumn, with the majority of the summer visitors having left, will be so good for getting around without all of the crowds and so much to see. We are sure that, whatever your boys wish to do, you will have an absolutely marvellous holiday.

  3. I adore London! If you are walking around Portobello, don´t miss the chance to visit the Kensington Gardens and have a spontaneous pic nic. It is a charming garden full of flowers and quiet!!!

  12. A tea party in London with little boys? Absolutely! I would love to see London again. I took my daughters when they were 11 and 13 and after we checked off the Hard Rock Cafe we were free to enjoy all that London had to offer... It was a compromise. Enjoy!

  14. How wonderful! If you'd like to see a nice garden in London, walk around St James Park near Buckingham Palace - they usually have a lovely display. How old are your boys? They might really enjoy seeing London via the 'DUCK' tours and visiting the Princess Diana Playground in Hyde Park. Enjoy! L
