DAY 12. Beilngries - Kelheim 45km. This day we follow the Altmühl all the way to the Danube. Kelheim is between both rivers, at the mouth of the Altmühl in the Donau. We meet again the Donau!
And at the Donau it is also the Gasthaus zum Schwam. A little romantic hotel with a likewise romantic name. We couldn't ask for anything more. At Kelheim there is also a very famous brewery, the Weißes Bräuhaus, with a beautiful garden. May it be the perfect place for a perfect day?

DIA 12. Beilngries - Kelheim 45km. Este día seguimos el Altmühl hasta llegar al Danubio. Kelheim está entre los dos ríos, en la desembocadura del Altmühl en el Danubio. Nos encontramos de nuevo con el Danubio!
Y junto al Danubio se encuentra también el Gasthaus zum Schwam. Una pequeña y romántica pensión con un nombre igualmente romántico. No podíamos pedir más. En Kelheim hay también una famosa cervecera, la Weißes Bräuhaus, con un bonito jardín. Podría ser el perfecto lugar para un día perfecto?

Diesen Tag folgen wir die Altmühl entlang bis zur Donau. Kelheim ist zwischen den beiden Flüssen, an der Mündung der Altmühn in die Donau. Wir treffen wieder die Donau!
Und an der Donau ist auch das Gasthaus zum Schwam. Eine romantische kleine Pension mit einem gleichen romantischen Name. Mehr brauchen wir nicht. In Kelheim gibt es auch ein sehr bekanntes Weißes Bräuhaus, mit einem schönen Garten. Vielleicht ist das die perfekte Lage für einen vielleicht perfekten Tag?
I remember during one of my last visits to Germany, my sister took me to Regensburg and we went on a little river cruise on the Donau to Kelheim to Kloster Weltenburg.
