We went there behind the scent of what we had read about Publius Cornelius Scipio Africanus (236-183 BC) the Roman who finally beat Hannibal. Scipio took base in the island of Ortigia for the 2 years that he stayed in Sicily to prepare the V and VI Roman legions before crossing to Africa for the final battle.
We found what was left (click here to watch) and came back home with tomatoes (see Sicilian Tomatoes).
Fuimos tras el rastro de lo que habíamos leído de Publio Cornelio Escipión el Africano (236-183 AC) el general romano que finalmente batió a Anibal. Escipión tomo como su base la isla de Ortigia durante los 2 años que permaneció en Sicilia para preparar a la V y VI legiones romanas antes de cruzar a Africa para la batalla final.
Encontramos lo que había quedado (hacer click aquí para verlo) y volvimos a casa con tomates (ver Sicilian Tomatoes).
