SAN SEBASTIAN. September is the best of the season in San Sebastian. The colors are prettier, the city is calmer, most of the tourist gone already, a few still left to give it a cosmopolitan air, the sea is warm, the occasional sunny day is like sipping the foam at the end of a milkshake, just not enough of it, just the moment to enjoy. Walking on the beach, slowly, one can hardly avoid feeling to be one of the "chosen few", like in Savoir Faire, a master of these things.
If you are ever to come around, choose September if you can.

I will put it on my "to visit list", thanks Pet!

I am honoured yeta again to mentioned in a post! I have always travelled to the Mediterranean in September precisely for the reasons that you mention. The Greek islands seem that much more idyllic when the hoards of tourists have gone, the weather cooler and the water warmer!
ReplyDeleteHi Pet, Enjoy september!!
but if we all follow this tips, it will be 7 more tourits. it's a lot, isn't it? but the photo gives a good mind to come.
ReplyDeletewell, enjoy september, pet.
I want to go to Formentera and to San Sebastian again.

What wonderful photos! The water and the boats are just what I need to see right now.
ReplyDeleteOh- how beautiful. I lived in Spain for a year (Granada) but I never made it up to San Sebastian. Next time I visit my friends in Spain, I would LOVE to go.
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures of San Sebastian.
ReplyDeleteI feel the same about September and love this month. As you said, much calmer with a beautiful atmosphere in the air....
